This is a new long distance footpath, opened by Janet Street Porter as recently as 2010 - a 39 mile long trail from Otley to Middleham. This stretch of tarmac leaves the bridge over the River Wharfe, heading for country north of the town. The route boasts brand new fingerposts and signs.
