The tollhouse stands on the northern bank of the Wye and has recently changed hands. The new owners have sound plans for the operation and the bridge is in good condition with a promising future. It is a wonderful novelty but in essence not that dissimilar to the modern bridges at Chepstow across the Severn. I know which I prefer.
