Sheffield Cathedral East Window

Though parts of the building date from mediaeval times, it was not raised to the status of a cathedral until 1914. This is the east window of the sanctuary from the crossing. The window was gifted by J Newtin Mappin in memory of James Montgomery, newspaper editor, hymn writer, and poet, who died in 1854.
