The depot was built c.1910 on the site of an 18th century leadmill. Following the abandonment of the tramway the depot was used as a bus garage until the 1990s. Much of the building has since been demolished but this building on the corner of Leadmill Road survives. (Info from the Wikipedia article on Sheffield Tramways).
