This 12th century church (with possibly earlier origins) is the parish church of Penllyn - about a mile to the north. The original village of Llanfrynach which it served was wiped out by the Black Death in the 14th century. The tower was extensively rebuilt in 2002 with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and CADW. Also see my photo in SO0725 for same named church and village near Brecon.
