There is an OS cutmark benchmark (see http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm29836 ) hidden behind the black litter bin on the angle of the Guildhall and there was another higher up on the same corner cut in 1849 as Mark 296 on the Gloucester to London 1GL survey line (see http://www.bench-marks.org.uk/bm29835 )
