An Edinburgh-bound train approaches the southbound platform at Dalmeny Station. Only local and commuter services stop here, and if I had missed being here to photograph this one, I would either have had to wait over an hour for a northbound one, or hope to be quick enough to capture an express as it passed by. The superstructure of the Forth Bridge can be seen beyond the right-hand end of the footbridge.
