Grade II listed building designed by the celebrated Victorian architect Alfred Waterhouse, described at this http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1271137. He also designed other buildings for the Prudential in Leeds, Liverpool, London, Nottingham and Southampton.
