The huge old gate hinge post built into the Dolwilym Arch, entrance to the Dolwilym estate of the Protheroe Family that lived there many generations ago, 19 century (1879) High Sheriff of Carmarthenshire, Edward Schaw Protheroe lived there. St Clydwyns Church was possibly the estate church many decades ago, is also is accessed through this arch.
