Small cul de sac off London Road named after the village's most famous resident, 18th century diarist Thomas Turner. Turner ran the village shop as well as being the village undertaker, surveyor, overseer of the poor and schoolmaster. He kept the diary for eleven years from 1754-65 which has since become a primary source of rural 18th century life. See also Image the site of his former shop.
