This tomb in the churchyard of St Bartholomew Image is that of ten workmen "who died 15 August 1853 by a fall from the roof of the Crystal Palace". The information plaque gives a fuller account of the tragedy. The gravestone names the ten men and was restored in 2003 for the 150th anniversary.
