Look carefully on the foreground rock and you will see a small (bronze?) stud which is oxidised green. It has the letters EABM - Environment Agency bench mark, I believe. I must have walked past this dozens of times and never spotted it - maybe it has been covered by turf, shingle or sand which has just been eroded.
