This is located on Brookvale Road.In Northern Ireland a controlled school is a former Protestant church school whose management has been transferred by the respective church to the government. Controlled schools, differ from Roman Catholic managed schools in that the employers are the regional education and library boards. Many still retain links with one or other of the main Protestant denominations with, in the case of primary school, four out of the nine members of the governing bodies being the nominees of the transferor church.
