By the Office of Works, 1939, a "well-mannered Modernist design which takes account of its Georgian neighbours" thought Pevsner. It's built of "Roman bricks with recessed pointing". Roman bricks are longer and narrower than standard ones. Behind is Royal House, an extension of 1974 by Building Design Partnership.
