Originally Cromer Beach to differentiate it from the now closed Cromer station which was the other side of the town. Both of the original platforms remain in use but there are now no run-round loops. There were sidings on both sides of the station but the land has been redeveloped as retail outlets. The signal-box seen opposite the end of the platform is no longer in use but is grade II listed and being restored as a museum by The Cromer Railway Signalling Society http://www.cromerbox.co.uk/.
