Sited at one entrance to the Agg Gardner recreation ground. The lodge looks to be late Victorian or Edwardian. James Tynte Agg Gardner presented the recreation ground to Cheltenham Corporation in 1888. He was a brewery owner, mayor of Cheltenham and served for 39 years (in four separate terms) as Conservative MP for Cheltenham. apparently he only made two speeches in the Houase of Commons during that time.
