Like its neighbour to the west (left), No 22 was built by John Young in 1775 alongside the earlier No 23. Originally a separate house, it is now combined with No 21 as IBM's Edinburgh offices, and the door of No 22 seems to be out of use. The Corinthian porch was added in 1845 by John Dick Peddie, and it was converted into offices in 1920 for Bell Cowan and Co.
