Now known as "Royal Standard House", these apartments - in what was previously the General Hospital Nurse's Home - sit alongside a private gated drive that links Park Terrace and Standard Hill. The Nurse's Memorial Home as it was known then was constructed as a monument to the deceased soldiers of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire who gave their lives for others in World War I. It was opened by the Prince of Wales in 1923.
