Hollingwood Lock No6 on the journey from Chesterfield Was the last lock until the Belk Lane lock. The first six locks drop the canal the seventh at Belk Lane raises the canal. The canal followed the line of the 55metre contour for the approx 7mile journey to Killamarsh.
