The land being built on at the corner of Hills Road (ahead) and Cherry Hinton Road was formerly the site of a car showroom. The developers will have to try hard to come up with anything more banal than the dreary flats, shops and a hotel which have been crowded round this busy junction in recent years. The cycle-lane markings are the latest attempt (fractionally more successful than others) to make the junction safer. There was no traffic at six o'clock on a Saturday morning.
