Viewsed from Windmill Hill. Queen Street is to the left, Hermitage Road straight ahead and Walsworth Road to the right. Hermitage Road was opened in 1875, built on land, which had formed part of his garden, donated by Mr. Frederic Seebohm who wished it be used to shorten the distance from the town centre to the railway station. In truth, the distance saved was minimal but it was, nevertheless, a grand gesture.
