The photographer is standing in a pedestrian-only alley which runs along the backs of houses in Salisbury Avenue and enters Hele Road through the gap on the left. The red and yellow railings on the right enclose a children's play park. Building work is underway on the three garages just beyond the railings. My eye was caught by the complex of aerials and cable trunking on the end walls of the two blocks of flats. Presumably they are mostly to do with receiving and distributing television signals.
