Part of the attractive churchyard, looking towards the lychgate. The lychgate was constructed in memory of those who served in World War I (1914-1918). It contains a list of the men from the parish who fought in both World Wars. The bell hanging there is from HMS Cranham, a former minesweeper, and was presented to the church in 1967. Some of the splendid yew trees in the churchyard can also be seen in this view, together with the Horlick family tomb. The two brothers, who emigrated to the USA in Victorian times, and founded the Horlick malted milk drink company, were related to this family. Other photos:- Image
