Strikingly tall, the zeitgeist from across the Pond. Portland stone, as usual, and the motifs Classical - see the Greek key frieze and giant Ionic columns. By T. Arnold Ashworth & Sons, c1920. The First wine bar occupied the ground floor, flats above, and, above them, the usual jungle of masts.
