For the background see Image This is the section of the road just after passing McKee’s Dam, south of Hillsborough, looking towards Belfast along the northbound carriageway. The road is an all-purpose dual carriageway allowing right and “U” turns as well as having numerous entrances from public roads and private lanes. It can be a bit hairy at times with lorries and agricultural machinery crossing. There is a proposal to convert it to a limited-access road.
