A large pile of rubble at the derelict, eight-acre site of the former Intex Yarns plant at York Street in Radcliffe. The houses of York Street can be seen behind the site. The site, which had been a sprawl of empty and boarded-up buildings for about a decade, was levelled during the latter half of 2011 and now only a small number of buildings remain. An application to build 200 family homes, an extension to a depot and a car park on the site has been approved by Bury council’s planning committee.
