The population of the Staffordshire village of Swindon is about 1400, so it is fortunate to have a handful of shops plus three public houses, and other facilities, which many villages of similar or larger size have lost. The shops in this parade are Smiths (fish & chips), Swindon Bakery, Amathus Unisex Hair Design and Londis, a convenience store including a post office.
