Wellington Mill (centre) was built in the 1830s as a cotton mill, it became a hat works in the 1890s (more information on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hat_Works ). The Grade II listed building has been converted to provide residential accommodation and a hat museum, which opened in 2000 (Hat Works website http://www.hatworks.org.uk/default.asp ).
