Viewed from the top deck of a bus. Manchester Road (A635) is the old road from Manchester to Ashton-under-Lyne, Holmfirth, Barnsley and Doncaster. The A6140 (Lord Sheldon Road) was built across Ashton Moss to form a link from the M60 to the Northern end of Ashton. Nexus House in the background is used by various specialist units of Great Manchester Police. In the left foreground is a small pool.
