Sebastien Boyesen's bronze sculpture honours the metalworkers (in steel and copper) who contributed to the growth of the Port Talbot area. Though steel is the predominant metal associated with the area today, industrialisation hereabouts began with the establishment of a copperworks in 1770. The pigeon is not part of the sculpture!
