The Maenllwyd Inn is operated by the pub chain Chef and Brewer who in turn are owned by Punch Taverns. They should be experts at their business but as I passed their pub I was nearly zonked out by an evil concoction; a terrible combination of smells - stale fat and strong bleach. It made me cough and I was outside on a windy day - in the pub it must have been hard to overcome. Hopefully an isolated incident.
