A poster left on the wall reads 'We know that we share a love of the English garden. The colours of flowers, vegetation are everlasting. Laura Ashley, 1973'. I guess that a departing employee left this on purpose. It seems to say 'What seems transitory is everlasting, what seems everlasting is just transitory'. Poignant when you consider Laura Ashley's life arc and the massive growth of her and her husband's business from the humblest of starts to where it stands now.
