The fine old church in Box has a number of additions to its original structure dating back over the years. The tower has an octagonal staircase that leads up to the upper level. In fact, the state of the belfry is of such a concern that the bell ringers actually pull the ropes horizontally now, having had them re-routed! See Image] for a bolt benchmark behind the metal railing.
