Bank protection, Holywell Dene

Holywell Dene is the well-wooded, deeply incised valley of the Seaton Burn on the last six kilometres before it enters the sea. The Dene is a popular recreation area for ramblers and dog-walkers, and is a Local Nature Reserve. Here, logs, stakes and brushwood have been used to protect the bank of the burn from further erosion.
