The distinctive shop-entrance tilework of a branch of the Buttercup Dairy Company (late C19th/early C20th). In its heyday the Buttercup Dairy Company had more than 200 shops in Scotland. This one was in Dunbar High Street. Similar shop entrance tiled murals can still be seen in North Berwick and Haddington.
