Resplendent outside the Paint Shop (see also Image] etc., and Image] re uncertainties of location) is No. 42638 (built 1938, withdrawn 12/62). [On August 6th 1958 I went on the public annual Special Excursion from London to visit Crewe Works - on a weekday, which was specially interesting].
