An unassuming 15th century Perpendicular exterior conceals a late Anglo-Saxon nave and crossing. Built as a cruciform Minster church c1050, the west tower replaced the crossing tower in the 15th century. It is reputedly the only pre-Conquest church with both nave arcades and a crossing. Sadly locked on the day of my visit.
