The Queens Head is quite a common name but often the Queen portrayed is Elizabeth I, or Queen Victoria. Rather unusually this one shows Queen Anne, who reigned from 1702 to 1714. All her many children were either stillborn or died in infancy, so she proved to be the last of the Stuart line to sit on the throne. The pub's website has some interesting information about the decision to chose Queen Anne, It says, "The Queens head chosen for portrayal is that of Anne because this house is not far distant from Blenheim Palace at Woodstock, which was her reward to John Churchill, Duke of Marlborough for his services during the Spanish war of succession; it is therefore not unlikely that she sometimes passed this way with his wife Sarah, Duchess of Marlborough, who was a close friend at court for many years".
