The plane trees by the A41 Wellington Road between Wolverhampton and Bilston have only a year or two of branch growth since being cut back. The red-brick building is an extension to the Samuel Edge Boot and Shoe Factory built c1914. The current operation retains the name of Edge, but is not family owned. It deals with imports from the far east (mainly) and is a shoe wholesaler and on-line retailer formed in 1995, that took over this site after 2002.
