Located in Beaconsfield Road, Woolton these gates mark the entrance to the Strawberry Field Children's Home. As a child John Lennon spent many hours playing in the grounds of the home and this provided the inspiration for his composition of the Beatles recording of 'Strawberry Fields Forever'.
