View northward, towards Trent, Derby, Sheffield etc. on the Midland Main line; towards Nottingham, Sheffield etc. on the ex-GC Main line. On the latter an LNER O4/1 2-8-0 forges northward on a Down empties, while nearby a local goods is running up the Midland towards Leicester, headed by ex-Midland Johnson/Deeley 5'3" 2F 0-6-0 No. 58298 (former LMS No. 3648)(withdrawn 12/60).
