A glimpse through the ivy-covered trees along the canal towpath. The wall encloses what must have been the walled garden of Ratho Hall, which is hidden among the trees to the right. Above the wall stands a round castellated building, which is hard to see but may be a folly. The foreground shed is presumably for the ponies and donkey grazing in the field.
