Another of Manchester's stunning palazzo warehouses. There is something very alluring about the combination of the orange-red brick and the carefully-measured golden stone dressings. Continuous arcade to the ground floor, quoins and moulded window heads. Built c1865. Pevsner attributes its design on stylistic grounds to Clegg & Knowles (e.g. compare with Image] and Image]). Grade II listed. It has been converted to offices, as well as housing the Number One Club, a nightclub.
