This slow-moving heavy tractor emitted a constant low drone. An aerial photograph reveals that the large field southeast of Bannam's Wood, as shown on the OS 1:25000 map, has been subdivided. The slopes below the wood, in shade, are pasture while the nearer ground is arable. This edge of the wood is followed by the Heart of England Way and the Arden Way.
