A group of military-straight memorials in Haycombe cemetery is in fact dedicated to civilians who were killed in the Bath Blitz of April 1942. A couple of stones name those officially occupied in the forces, but the rest (including several family members) are hapless citizens of Bath. Rick Crowley's pic of May 2011 Image] shows a different but similar section of gravestones. See Image] for the inscription on the tablet to the left of shot.
