Founded in 1875, the brewery was famous for its Robin Hood logo on beermats. The iconic Home Brewery building was put up for sale by owners Notts County Council. The site, on Sir John Robinson Way in Arnold, dates from the 1930s, and has recently (circa December 2011) been used by the authority as offices. Sir John Robinson (1824–1913), was the founder of the Home Brewery.
