View northward, towards Gloucester: parallel ex-Midland Birmingham - Bristol and ex-GW Cheltenham - Swindon main lines. The Class D freight is headed by LMS Fowler 4F 0-6-0 No. 44135 (built 1925, withdrawn 4/65). (This was one of many 0-6-0s that were very familiar to me as they remained for many years in the '22' (Bristol) division).
