Just "Hartridge" on the maps; a plateau ridge with open heathland on this steep west slope. On the right an unfenced lane sweeps up to the plateau top towards Mattys Cross, while the left turn indicated by the signpost takes a circuitous route via a hairpin and several farms to Luppitt. To the left by the camera is the entrance to Sharcombe Farm.
