This would appear to have been a pub at one time and was then converted to a restaurant. At the time the photo was taken it was closed and empty though it did bear two banners saying "The wait is nearly over" and "we are nearly there" However the current establishment (which is presumably what the banners referred to) that bears this name is a superior experience with rooms for accommodation as well as a restaurant and is located in five acres of grounds at Grid. ref. Image on the other side of Merley on Arrowsmith Road. See http://www.lesbouviers.co.uk/. This building is at the junction of Merley Park Road and Gravel Hill the A349.
