By George Woodhouse, 1885-86, but mostly rebuilt after being bombed during the Second World War. Pevsner regarded the stone exterior as "undistinguished", but the site "important historically as the centre of Manchester Methodism from which a large and well-organised social services mission spread during the C19 and earlier C20."
